48MMS Posted July 12, 2010 #1 Posted July 12, 2010 Hello, I'm back with 4 patches recently acquired. the 2nd AREFS and 506th AREFS(Strategic Fighter) were very appreciated donations to my SAC site. The 367th Bombardment Squadron (B-47 era) and the SAC Small Arms Matches 1959 are large patches. (note: I left for reasons that made me very upset and to that individual involved, I will not be answering any inquiries, so save your key strokes. I did say that I'd never be back, but I will owe up to the stupidity of that comment.)
48MMS Posted July 12, 2010 Author #4 Posted July 12, 2010 Strategic Air Command Small Arms Matches 1959.
m1ashooter Posted July 12, 2010 #6 Posted July 12, 2010 I love the shooting patch. General Lemay was a great supporter of the shooting sports. Remember the old saying "To Err Is Human To Forgive Is Not SAC Policy" Skybird This Is The 8th Air Force Command Post With A Test Of The Primary Alerting System, Acknowledge, Out.
48MMS Posted July 12, 2010 Author #8 Posted July 12, 2010 Wanted to add another I have been after for awhile, the 486th Bombardment Squadron. . .
Lee Ragan Posted July 12, 2010 #9 Posted July 12, 2010 Remember the old saying "To Err Is Human To Forgive Is Not SAC Policy" Roger that! And welcome back. GREAT patches; thanks for sharing.

48MMS Posted July 14, 2010 Author #16 Posted July 14, 2010 Thanks Randy, and especially for this great 529th Bombardment Squadron! Cheers, Al.
48MMS Posted July 14, 2010 Author #17 Posted July 14, 2010 Another, an old fully embroidered 644th Bombardment Squadron. First Fully embroidered one I have seen.
Lee Ragan Posted July 14, 2010 #18 Posted July 14, 2010 I just read this morning in "AIR FORCE" magazine, that the new Global Strike Command, is actually Strategic Air Command being re-activated under the new name. It will inherit SAC's linage and honors. This was from a guy who works in the USAF history office I believe. SAC IS BACK!!!!!
Lee Ragan Posted July 14, 2010 #19 Posted July 14, 2010 Another, an old fully embroidered 644th Bombardment Squadron. First Fully embroidered one I have seen. This squadron was the bomber unit from the old 410th Bombardment Wing (H) stationed at K.I. Sawyer AFB Michigan. (I was in the 410th Supply Sqd.)
48MMS Posted July 14, 2010 Author #20 Posted July 14, 2010 Here is that 410th Supply Squadron, one of my absolute favorites!
