Richard Kimmel Posted March 11, 2010 Share #1 Posted March 11, 2010 Brigadier General Dunn served as District Engineer at Seattle, Washington in July 1940 and in March 1942 was assigned to the North Atlantic Engineer Division in New York. He became Deputy Chief Engineer at Headquarters SHAEF in February 1944. Shortly before the dissolution of SHAEF he succeeded General Hughes as Chief Engineer. What is unique about this camera is that it's the older type that used two film cartridges. In one of the cartridges fresh film, cut from a bulk roll, was loaded and as you advanced the film it moved completely from one cartridge to the other. This film had to then be processed, usually by the people themselves or by a processing facility. This camera still has a length of film that had been exposed in the receiving cartridge. Anyone having additional information and or a photo of Gen. Dunn would greatly be appreciated.
