Sabrejet Posted February 11, 2010 Share #1 Posted February 11, 2010 This is a pair of R-14 recievers, '42 dated and in mint, unissued condition. These receivers were standard issue and were used in tankers' helmets, flying helmets and the standard military HS-18 headset. They were supplied in clearly labelled, waxed, airtight "pill-boxes" with each receiver being individually wrapped in tissue paper. The examples seen here are would doubtless still function today if they were wired up! I was able to source several sets of these a number of years ago..enough to install in my tanker / flying helmet collection..the proverbial cherries on the cakes! rambob Posted February 11, 2010 Share #2 Posted February 11, 2010 Sabrejet, I just love the mint stuff and still in the box. Tom Gordon in Georgia had these exact receivers in the packaging, in quantity a few years ago for a very reasonable price. I could kick myself for not buying more than one pair!! Hindsight is always 20/20. Bob

Stuff like this doesn't grow on trees...and it's getting harder to find with each passing year! Ian
