R-14 Receivers (Tankers, Airmen etc)

This is a pair of R-14 recievers, '42 dated and in mint, unissued condition. These receivers were standard issue and were used in tankers' helmets, flying helmets and the standard military HS-18 headset. They were supplied in clearly labelled, waxed, airtight "pill-boxes" with each receiver being individually wrapped in tissue paper. The examples seen here are would doubtless still function today if they were wired up! I was able to source several sets of these a number of years ago..enough to install in my tanker / flying helmet collection..the proverbial cherries on the cakes!

Sabrejet, I just love the mint stuff and still in the box. Tom Gordon in Georgia had these exact receivers in the packaging, in quantity a few years ago for a very reasonable price. I could kick myself for not buying more than one pair!! Hindsight is always 20/20.

Hi Bob. Yes...with you all the way there. You have to grab it whilst you can! Stuff like this doesn't grow on trees...and it's getting harder to find with each passing year!

Ian
