thebladeslinger Posted January 17, 2010 Share #1 Posted January 17, 2010 Has anyone else seen these? http://www.atlantacutlery.com/p-1854-e-w-s...ting-knife.aspx Thankfully they don't seem to be very detailed or accurate. Anyways here's your heads up to watch out for them. They'll no doubt start showing up at shows and on eBay soon.

nuke41 Posted January 21, 2010 Share #3 Posted January 21, 2010 I wonder if Bill Stone (his son) authorized that to be made? Bill has made several high quality reproductions over the years that are highly collectable, the Atlanta cutlery one certainly isnt a good version. thebladeslinger Posted January 26, 2010 Author Share #4 Posted January 26, 2010 More repros to watch out for: http://plowshareforge.blogspot.com/2010/01...-im-glad-i.html It seems to be open season for making fake Stone knives. Brock's working on his own version using the skull from a repro as a pattern. Guess that makes it a reproduction of a repro:)
thebladeslinger Posted April 27, 2010 Author Share #5 Posted April 27, 2010 Sorry to pull up such an old thread, but I wanted to report what seems to be a small victory. Atlanta Cut. has changed the name of their fake E W Stone knife to "Skull Head Fighting Knife". Here is the link: http://www.atlantacutlery.com/p-1854-skull...ting-knife.aspx It is also fun to read some of the reviews the knife is getting:)
gunbarrel Posted April 27, 2010 Share #6 Posted April 27, 2010 Thanks for the the update. At the time I e-mailed a link to Bill Stone and asked him if he'd seen it. He usually replies, but this time he didn't, which makes me think that some kind of litigation was in progress since they changed the name of the POS. Tony-in-NH Posted April 27, 2010 Share #7 Posted April 27, 2010 Thanks for the the update. At the time I e-mailed a link to Bill Stone and asked him if he'd seen it. He usually replies, but this time he didn't, which makes me think that some kind of litigation was in progress since they changed the name of the POS. I called Bill after I saw the fake. He stated that he was going to call them and find out what was up.
