Stunning early canteens and covers

Here are a few of my absolutely beautiful canteens and covers. The two mounted covers are just about mint. One is definitely mint and the other would be but it had a wire Hager attached then removed at some time. The 1941 cover holds an all 41 dated rig. The cup and the canteen are both dated 1941. The canteen without a cover is a very early spun canteen and cup. Just minty. Hope you enjoy looking at them.

Beautiful!

Stainless?

I think so. It is too perfect not to be. IMO.

There were no Stainless Steel canteens made before WWII.  The canteen shown was manufactured by Aluminum Goods in 1914-1915.  Aluminum can be buffed this bright.

Thank you jprostak.  I thought as much but wasn't sure.  I prefer original finish.
