Sailorjerry45 Posted March 21 Share #1 Posted March 21 Good evening gentlemen, I recently acquired this tunic out of the basement of a small shop in Nevada and wanted to share it here, the tunic of lieutenant Daniel Okeefe who was apart of an artillery observation battalion which I have yet to identify was awarded the silver star for running through enemy lines 4 times to save his wounded and encircled men. I was initially unsure if I had found the right veteran but after researching him and seeing he is buried mot far from where the uniform was found I do believe it to be a positive ID. As always comments and opinions are welcome. Many thanks Will
Sailorjerry45 Posted March 21 Author Share #2 Posted March 21 Also my apologies for the poor photos, I will put this on a mannequin when I get home and update with some nicer pictures.
Sailorjerry45 Posted April 10 Author Share #3 Posted April 10 I was finally able to get Lt. O'Keefes uniform on a mannequin for a good picture, unfortunately I still haven't been able to track down which observation battalion he belonged too.
