Surprise on the box

This box came out of an old barn last week.  It was repacked with trench gun, 12 gauge double 00 buckshot to date 2/44.  This was done by Peters Cartridge Company (Kings Mills Ordnance Plant).  Imagine my surprise when I opened the lid and found: Margie Mullan

                                                                                                               5663 St. Louis Ave

St Louis Mo.      written in pencil.  I have read many times about messages, etc. sent by defense-workers to the troops, but have never seen an example.  Thanks to robinb for posting my photos.
