Hi all, new here and I'm looking for any additional info on this type 1 Russell M1910 cartridge belt for the 45 revolver.   There isn't much info out there that I've been able to find on these, and Poyer's pistol book only has a short paragraph on each type.  It appears that this was made 1910-12? The rimless eagle snaps are/were plated (nickel?) with patent dates. Aside from the faded oval inside (Russell mfg) there are no other markings that I could find.

Is this a 50-dollar belt or a 500? (not selling, it came to me as part of a period-correct rig that is staying complete).

Thanks!

Nice example! I think your $50-$500 should be split in two. $250-$300 would seem to be a reasonable value. Check around dealer websites and maybe check ebay (BIN's are always high).

McPheeters has some nice stuff for sale for sure. The prices on some items seem high, but good luck finding another example. Prices on their common items are good in my opinion. I recall paying $250 for my 4 pocket pistol belt, same as yours, from Great War Militaria, appx 15 years ago. Maybe $500 isn't unrealistic at this point
