BigBrother Posted August 3, 2023 Share #1 Posted August 3, 2023 So I recently picked up a number of women’s garrison caps. In my purchases were two types I’d never seen before: an officer’s pink and what appeared to be an officer’s OD. Now I have no idea if they’re WWII or not, and I don’t know much about non-WWII ones. Even with WWII I’m no expert. Neither has any braiding, which is throwing me for a loop. One would guess that puts them out of WWII, but I thought these weren’t issued afterward, especially not in pink. Maybe Korea? In any case, have a look at the pics. The OD one has a taped on label that reads “1950-1964 taupe officers - EM no braid” but I doubt its accuracy (for a number of reasons). Your help is appreciated!! BigBrother Posted August 3, 2023 Author Share #2 Posted August 3, 2023 Ah ok these totally look 50s. I didn't know they had an actual "taupe" color. Looking now for the pink version in photos, though I suspect that might just be another taupe. Researching...
