I consider myself one of the biggest authority of American Legion items as I have a huge national convention collection that I have been trying to get a book made documenting it and have been in their national quarterly magazine. However, I tend not to think it is Sons of the Legion (SAL) for several reasons. Legionaires should have a second "N" in it and they tend to be very by the books. Most Legion items keep their logo in it, if not all, and they usually have it tied in with the state seal. It still could be SAL. It could be a bowling patch. IDK. What is the size of it?
