Identifying Indian wars jacket

Need help identifying this jacket. Thinking militia but it has staff buttons I think with a date on the back which I’ve never seen. I’m newer at this so.

It does look militia. To me, it may have something related to artillery (red trim),musician (braid)....  A close up of button design may help if state or militia.
