Basic Rifleman Posted December 13, 2022 Share #1 Posted December 13, 2022 I don't usually collect wings, but used to love collecting coins as a kid, and had a special interest in those with attractive toning. This Navy Observer Wing caught my eye with it's rater wild "rainbow" toning, so I had to have it. I was also surprised to see a Bailey Banks & Biddle makers mark over the early H&H mark on the reverse. It appears someone (presumably BB&B) went through great effort to very finely peen over the original makers mark and to leave the "Sterling" hallmark before adding their own.
