Real or Hollywood wings?

I saw a T.V. show (F.B.I. International, episode “Crestfallen”) last night.  There was what I think was a U.S.A.F. officer in uniform (Moe Irvin as General Finley).  On his chest he had silver wings.  They did not look like any official wings I had ever seen but I could not get a good look at them.  They appeared to be outstretched wings, only there was something crossed like an X behind the center object and the center did not look like a parachute.  Does anybody have an idea of what that might have been?  If you watch the episode, the best views are out of doors, toward the end at the airport.  I don’t have the tech skills to grab a screen shot.  Thanks, Jim
