doyler Posted May 9, 2022 Share #2 Posted May 9, 2022 looks like one of the modern made examples that was offered for sale.
Slufstuff Posted May 9, 2022 Share #3 Posted May 9, 2022 Camillus has turned out a number of different USMC commemorative Mk. 2 knives over the years. Deleting the fuller is cheaper to make and also provides a huge flat area for engraving, as seen on some of those commemorative knives. This knife might be an over run of some sort that did not get engraved. Just a guess. Or it might be a Walmart knife. I know Ontario Knife deleted the fuller on the jet pilot knives they sold to Walmart. Maybe Camillus did the same cost cutting at some point in the past for a Walmart exclusive USMC knife. Again, just a guess.
Slufstuff Posted May 9, 2022 Share #4 Posted May 9, 2022 OK, a bit more research shows my first thought is most likely correct. Below is a link to a 2016 post asking about a similar knife. Gary Cunningham stated they were over runs from knives made for engraving by 3rd party companies.
