I just came across this the other day while looking for something else. Timely I guess.

It was with the items of a 5th Armored Division veteran I acquired several years ago. It is very large, unfolded it is 11 X 17 inches. The inside is left blank for the soldier to write in and the back has “An Ancient Picture Of A Worthy Mother—“ Then has the text of Proverbs 31: 10-13. The soldier wrote nothing in it.

Something like this makes me wonder, with about a month of fighting still in Europe and several months in the Pacific, how many mothers lost sons/daughters to the war after Mothers Day, 1945? Thanks for looking, Enjoy Mothers Day!
