ChrisV Posted March 4, 2022 Share #1 Posted March 4, 2022 Hello, I was hoping to get some thoughts on this example of WWI 2nd Division, 2nd Medical Regt, 1st Bn. Has anyone come across this variation Indian head and do you see any red flags? Regards, Chris
MAW Posted March 4, 2022 Share #2 Posted March 4, 2022 I would avoid this if I were you. It does not look right on many levels. "Atypical" at best.
Allan H. Posted March 4, 2022 Share #3 Posted March 4, 2022 Hello Chris and welcome to the forum. There is a nice, long, thread that is pinned here in the patch section that shows a ton of original 2nd Division shoulder patches. Here is a link- If your patch doesn't look like any of these, odds are that it is not a WWI vintage piece. I think MAW gave you good advice when he recommended that you avoid it. ChrisV Posted March 4, 2022 Author Share #4 Posted March 4, 2022 Thank you Both MAW and Allan. Your help is very much appreciated. I have gone through my Emblems of Honor reference material and world war one nerds 2nd ID post and could not find that example Indian head anywhere. I looked through some other posts on the forum as well. I have been learning and expanding my WWI SSI collection but 2nd ID has so much variation and fakes as well.
