Armed 2 tha Teeth Posted December 24, 2008 Share #1 Posted December 24, 2008 Has anyone ever seen an OD7 'rounded flap' USMC .45/Carbine pouch? I bought this Boyt made pouch last week on ebay and I wasn't sure if the color was produced by the flash, when it arrived I was pleasantly suprised. I do not think this is a case of 're-dying' because the trim and stitching at the bottom of the pockets seem to be a light brown. It also appears that the bottom edging is in a seperate color, a light green. Here are some pictures of the pouch Look at the difference with other pouches from the same contract. craig_pickrall Posted December 24, 2008 Share #2 Posted December 24, 2008 Here is a similar pic I did a few years back. All are USMC contract except for the top left pouch. I threw that in for color and design comparison. It is hard to say what was going on with those colors. It may have been variation in dye lots or they may have grabbed a bolt of Army material when they setup the machines.
Greg Robinson Posted December 26, 2008 Share #3 Posted December 26, 2008 That particular contract with Boyt must have been huge. It covers two different patterns and a rainbow of colors. The very first USMC "combination" pouches made by BOYT were a mustard tan. Greg
