phantomfixer Posted July 18, 2017 Share #1 Posted July 18, 2017 Picked this up today...in the box, but has some storage issues the funk cleaned up nice but not sure what to do if anything about the curve, caused from heat and long term storage...but for now it cleaned up nice, and has the cardboard switch interrupter/circuit breaker...which is very cool IMO...took a minute to figure out what it was..the cardboard is placed between the two contacts of the switch, which has no on/off...when dropped from the plane, the cardboard is pulled from the light switch....and stays on until the parabundle is found........the cardboard is stored inside the yellow lens... dated Jan 1944

Brian Keith Posted July 19, 2017 Share #3 Posted July 19, 2017 Nice, old stock is fun to find, even if it looks it's age. BKW
dustin Posted August 12, 2017 Share #4 Posted August 12, 2017 Here is the type designation sheet on the aerial delivery lamp, not much but it does list the standardization date.
ccyooper Posted July 30, 2022 Share #5 Posted July 30, 2022 Does anyone know what the multi-colored light combinations were used for or when they were used? Here is an amber-red combination with the appropriate BA-42 type batteries all dated 1943. I've seen other combinations too, red/green, white/red, etc.
