Crasher Posted January 27, 2017 Share #1 Posted January 27, 2017 I'm looking at a jacket a fellow reenactor is getting rid of, and he says it's a repro, but he can't remember who made it, and I cannot find any info on the manufacturer on the tag, which looks surprisingly original. It's made me wonder if it could actually be an original. Anyone recognize this maker?
JDK Posted January 27, 2017 Share #2 Posted January 27, 2017 He's right. It is a repro. This one also has the wrong style alpaca lining. JD
Crasher Posted January 27, 2017 Author Share #3 Posted January 27, 2017 Interesting... I'm not familiar with different styles of alpaca - what should I be looking for? Thanks!
Crasher Posted January 27, 2017 Author Share #4 Posted January 27, 2017 And do you happen to know who might have made this one? I'm still tempted at the price... even if the lining isn't *quite* right (as long as it's not horribly off). But I also don't want a cheap piece of junk. Ever heard of Godar's? phantomfixer Posted January 27, 2017 Share #5 Posted January 27, 2017 looks like the same style lining as the ATF B10 repops...more long fur than alpaca here is the alpaca...short, gray in color, and rather itchy

Crasher Posted January 27, 2017 Author Share #7 Posted January 27, 2017 Yeah, that looks really close, doesn't it? That orange-ish fur lining...
