It looks like the Royal Air Force is sending me out to Dover AFB for two weeks in March (05th - 19th) and wondered if there were any militaria shows or stores around? I'm quite prepared to travel so anything in the neighbouring states too?

Cheers,

Neil.

All Airborne Troop Carrier items wanted especially uniform groupings and unit history books. Anything considered!!

There'a a surplus store there, Dover Army and Navy ... haven't been there in years, but worth a look!

Looking for:

1. CIB with M16 instead of 1795 Musket

2. Rarer current era brassards and armbands

Thanks for taking the time to read this!

By the way, Dover is about a 2.25 hour drive to Washington, DC. If you've not been to the museums there they are very definitely worth a look. Also, the US Naval Academy (Annapolis, Maryland) is about 1.5 hours away, while New York City is about 3 hours away.

I'm sure when you meet some mates you'll have plenty to do!

I spent two weeks at Dover AFB some years ago. I've been fortuante enough to visit DC and NY numerous times.

I'm looking forward to visiting the AMC museum at Dover again.

Don't forget to drop by the Dover Army/Navy store downtown and say hi! Also, get with me and I might just be able to get you a B-17 walkthrough at the AMC Museum at Dover AFB. You will really like the combat vet C-47 and CG-4A glider there!
