Niki Posted December 22, 2015 Share #1 Posted December 22, 2015 Today this arrived by the postman. Was glad that the helmet came through customs beqause they become more and more a problem with there customfees. Not normal any more almost 40% of the amount thats coming extra with the price to clear these helmets. But its worth to add the extra amount for these pieces of history and of course you can find this kind of helmets only in the USA...

CROC Posted December 22, 2015 Share #3 Posted December 22, 2015 Hi Nice APH5, it should be from Lt Fred Ernest SMITH Jr a 1310 (Naval Aviator) who flew in the USN from june 1957 to early 1965, may be you have his file number inside 564480. He was promoted Lt on 1 june 1961. Croc

viking73 Posted December 23, 2015 Share #5 Posted December 23, 2015 Very nice Niki, and named too! Doesn't get much better than that Looks similar to the one I recently picked up, minus the neat reflective tape job! -Derek
Niki Posted December 23, 2015 Author Share #6 Posted December 23, 2015 Hi viking73, I did a comment on your aph-5 that this helmet was coming so i figures it out that you would see the post . Some times you can get lucky to buy a helmet but its getting hard to find a nice example on the web. But you cant complain about the nice helmet you found.
