The type of pin clutch back is indicative of German manufacturing.

This is the DI for the 102nd Infantry. It did see service in Europe during WW2. Campaign credits include Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes-Alsace, Central Europe. It also has campaign credits in the Pacific: Guadalcanal, New Guinea, Northern Solomon's, Leyte, Luzon. I would estimate that this is late 40's to 1950s manufacturing.

Hey Rakkasan187

Thanks for your assessment

Zitat : I would estimate that this is late 40's to 1950s manufacturing.

But there is this kind of Clutch Back not only from the 60 `s ?

From when it was the kind ?

This DI is from the units time in Germany during the 1950s. It is German made, in a clutch back style that was typical for that time.

The 102nd Infantry Regiment served in the Pacific during WWII (no campaign credits in the ETO during WWII). They were part of the 43rd Infantry Division, which was called up for Federal Service and sent to Germany during the Korean War.
