ID on Squadron Patch (I think)?

I am assuming this is a squadron patch... but I have no idea. This belongs to a friend. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Looks like it is Australian made, reminds me of the 393rd BS squadron patch, but that has different colors.

I dug through all the references I had and couldn't find anything (Pinks and Greens, the 1943 National Geos, etc). Thanks for your help, let me know what you find!

I think it is likely for the 822nd Bomb Squadron, 38th Bomb Group, 5th Air Force. I've never seen an attributed patch before but, the cat details look very close to the representations in the Battle Colors book and other sources. Al

Ragpick has it right I think. 822nd BS, 38th BG. Each squadron was an animal head. 822nd was the "Black Panthers". If you go to their website, you'll see the designs. The Sunsetters operated in the SWP which explains the Aussie embroidery. Jeffro
