Thor996 Posted March 16, 2024 #402 Posted March 16, 2024 Just picked this 313th Okinawan made group up in an estate sale
firefighter Posted April 28, 2024 #403 Posted April 28, 2024 Nice. I have a 313th patch like yours. Only other one I've seen.

lamarhooten Posted May 29, 2024 #405 Posted May 29, 2024 Naval Support Activities from what I have been told and not a very big operation too.
firefighter Posted September 17, 2024 #406 Posted September 17, 2024 Large Japanese made patch. I don't think there were too many Marine combat photographers. Shown is 'Rafterman' from Full Metal Jacket.
firefighter Posted September 17, 2024 #407 Posted September 17, 2024 Not sure how rare this one is. But not too common. Brings back memories from the PI
lamarhooten Posted October 17, 2024 #408 Posted October 17, 2024 8th Eng. Sqrd. on a jacket still. The tab maybe the hard one to come by!
JohnK83882 Posted October 17, 2024 #409 Posted October 17, 2024 I saw a binder set of WW2 US patches kept by a general's wife. The binder had those black pages with mylar or whatever. The protectors had the old postal code and the mylar had shrunk around the patches like a mold almost so pretty sure the collection was genuine. And it had everything.
Tonomachi Posted October 25, 2024 #410 Posted October 25, 2024 I saw this 11th Airborne Division Ike jacket at an insignia show with an interesting pair of bullion SSIs sewn on the right shoulder. I don't own this jacket and don't know if t sold as it was pretty pricey but I did get these photos of it.
bn1961 Posted October 26, 2024 #411 Posted October 26, 2024 This is the only purple WW1 Siberia patch I have ever seen. It is the only thing I kept from a grouping I got decades ago.
lamarhooten Posted November 5, 2024 #412 Posted November 5, 2024 50th Base Hospital. Most of the enlisted folks came from the University of Washington, hence the colors and the large W.
lamarhooten Posted November 5, 2024 #413 Posted November 5, 2024 An early WWI era entertainment troop like the latter USO did in WWII. American (or Artists) Over There Theater League. There was also a version with the letters AOSTL, Americans Overseas Theater League. Came in a heart shape also with the same motto(s) and colors.

bn1961 Posted December 1, 2024 #415 Posted December 1, 2024 I dug out my Kit Carson jacket. Just wanted to share the patches.

bn1961 Posted December 1, 2024 #417 Posted December 1, 2024 It is an honest shade of purple. Guaranteed original.
jmar Posted December 2, 2024 #418 Posted December 2, 2024 Hello gang, There's so much good material on the forum it just takes a little digging to uncover gold, I've truly enjoyed all 17 pages of this [gold] thread. Two I have in my collection: A rare one: 59th Pioneer Infantry Supply Company and a fun one: Fifi jacket style patch Best wishes, Joe
rtd_sf_eng Posted April 5 #419 Posted April 5 While going through my collection, I came across the 1st Engineer Battalion, Pennsylvania State Guard SSI. This is the only one I've seen so far.

checkit Posted April 6 #422 Posted April 6 Great collection! I had one of those GHQ/Honor Guard sets once. The others I could only dream of finding.
milihfra Posted May 7 #423 Posted May 7 A patch for 2nd Special Forces Group (Airborne). This reserve unit was only around from 1961 to 1966 until it was absorbed into 11th SFG. There are a few variations of this patch, different color skydiver, state, and some say Morgantown, WV instead of Ohio. There is also an "orginal member" arc.
rtd_sf_eng Posted Saturday at 09:56 PM #424 Posted Saturday at 09:56 PM Previously in this thread, i posted Engineer patches from the military side of the Engineers Now, I'm posting from the civilian side and some are unusual.
rtd_sf_eng Posted Saturday at 09:59 PM #425 Posted Saturday at 09:59 PM This group is for Post/Facility Engineers.
