PASGT Helmet / Early?

Just picked up two of these along with a bunch of WW2 items, but I'm not too keen on this newer stuff. And an hours worth of reseach still can't nail exactly when this was made or used.

Just found a tag that must have fallen off one of the helmets. Small white sticky label but still doesn't date it for me -

PASGT HELMET

P/N 0350-0001

X-SMALL

GENTEX CORPORATION

CARBONDALE, PA.

Look in the interior crown of the helmet for mold Mfg. dates and maker logo.

The sweat band looks early as well as the chin strap, unfinished A nuts. Possible early 80's Mfg.

The exterior looks to be repainted ? Interesting Pot.

Looks like the interior was painted as well. Gentex started making PASGTs in 1980, so this could well be a very early version when production was still small.

Only a molded Gentex mark orwise nothing, and looking closely at one of the screws, it is chipped with clean shiny metal and no prvious paint. No staining on the sweatband from wear, so I think this is off the shelf condition with little or no use.

Interesting helmet... notice the shiny silver "Gentex" label inside. That is not the garden variety USGI helmet. Still not a lot of information out there about these.
