Dear Army historian,

We are excited to announce the arrival of our excellent quality earlier style WWII Army light shade OD wool serge trousers. These are the standard issue wool trousers that saw use by the US Army throughout WWII. It is distinctly known as light shade due to the lighter contrasting color as compared to the darker OD wool serge service coat and headgear of the Army regulation.

The Quarmaster General declared that the US Army would utilitize "Camouflage by horizon" as it's main shading scheme for the regulation field uniform. This concept described that the various components of the uniform such as shirting, trousers, field jackets, footwear, helmets, etc were all worn and colored in various shades of OD to provide a form of camouflage when troops were being observed on a mass horizon basis. The effectiveness of this concept will never be fully known, but it sure made for a very unique appearance on the battlefield during WWII.

Our trousers are the ONLY replica in its class that is American made and made of 100% wool serge. This means that our trousers will take the abuse and provide thermal protection that only an all wool fabric can deliver. All the details of the original garment have been faithfully duplicated as you can expect that only WWII Impressions offers.
