Bonsoir Nicolas,

trying to reply some of your questions...

SMCO : Strong Manufacturing Company, Sebring, Ohio

BECO : Bellaire Enameling Company, Bellaire, Ohio

AGMCO : Aluminum Goods Manufacturing Company, Newark, New Jersey

REP Co : Republic Stamping & Enameling Company, Canton, Ohio

Hoosier Tarpaulin & Canvas Goods Co. Inc., Indianapolis, Indiana

Nasco Awnings & Signs Company, Watertown, New York, or ( I'm not sure) Nasco Awnings, Brooklyn, New York

The Miller-Hexter Company, Cleveland, Ohio

I'm sure that our fellows U.S. collectors could correct or improve what I have said above...

Most important to me is that you mention a First Aid Pouch marked G&R Co. (Gregory & Read Co., Lynn, Massachussetts). Are you sure of these markings on a FA pouch? As far as I know Gregory & Read didn't make these pouches...

Hope this can help.

Fausto

Thanks for your answer, as i see we have knowledgeable people

I add

"F.S.F." (on a ww1 .45 magazine pouch)

"Felt Novelty MFG" (on a pair of leggins)

"Scott Mfg Co" (on a pouch)

Hello ! I can't help this time... I can only say that the F.S.F. - as far as I know - is the only WWI .45 mag pouches manufacturer still unidentified. Mills , L.C.C.&CO., L.D. INC., R.H. LONG, P.B.&CO. and RUSSELL have been identified and located...

I know this isn't much help now but I thought I should let you know about a future project. Rusty Canteen and I are reworking and updating the Field Gear Reference Section much like what we recently finished doing for the Firearms and Ordnance Reference Section. As a part of that we are going to add a section for company names and logos. We might also try to list what products were made and the various addresses used. All of that data that can be gathered now in threads like this will be a big help later on.

We don't really have a time estimate but if the Firearms Section was any guide then we are looking at a good 4 to 6 months.

Great news Craig !

That's a fine and needed enterprise... A pinned section with companies names and location would be a super fine addition to the Forum. Thanks !

Is "Cadillac Fabrics" related in any way to the car manufactuer ?

Or is it just located to the city of Cadillac Mi and took it on its company name ?

Thanks
