37thguy Posted January 1, 2013 #1 Posted January 1, 2013 Picked this ACH up some time ago and have been working on getting everything together. Think I may pick up a few more varients when they come up at a reasonable price. Enjoy, and Happy New Year! -Mark
SergeantMajorGray Posted January 1, 2013 #4 Posted January 1, 2013 my first modern helmet was a ACH also. I find them a little more interesting than the PASGT.
37thguy Posted January 1, 2013 Author #6 Posted January 1, 2013 I agree, but I wouldn't mind having one if the price was right and it was Un Issued.
SergeantMajorGray Posted January 1, 2013 #7 Posted January 1, 2013 ha I take it you wouldnt be buying from my local surplus store that is selling well used ones for $95!
37thguy Posted January 1, 2013 Author #8 Posted January 1, 2013 Probably not. Lookin around $50 or less
Bugme Posted January 2, 2013 #11 Posted January 2, 2013 Nice looking set-up! I'm finding myself snapping up a few of these also Mark. The increasing prices of WW2 helmets makes buying these seem like a steal.
svt40 Posted January 5, 2013 #12 Posted January 5, 2013 I should probably look in to an un-issued MICH as well. I've been hunting down all the used ones I can find for cheap.
Sabrejet Posted January 5, 2013 #13 Posted January 5, 2013 Welcome to the world of modern helmets Mark! Nice rig BTW.
Sabrejet Posted January 5, 2013 #14 Posted January 5, 2013 PS. To make your modern display bang-on Mark, you might want to consider adding a set of ESS goggles or Wiley ballistic glasses, both of which have superseded the old style sun/wind/dust goggles. The ESS's come with a camo sleeve...not sure if they do one in Multicam though? Wileys are current and maybe your best bet?
37thguy Posted January 5, 2013 Author #15 Posted January 5, 2013 Have a pr of NIB ESS that just arrived
crayj Posted January 6, 2013 #16 Posted January 6, 2013 Well done… a really nice looking rig. Who is the Mfg. ? By the webbing it looks like it might be Rabintex.
