Skip Pickett Posted December 31, 2012 Share #1 Posted December 31, 2012 Hey y'all: I just picked up this Tiger Stripe boonie from a fellow who was buddies with previous owner of this hat. They were in Como School together in 1967 or 1968. While at Ft. Bragg, they would go "home" on leave and "Bobby" became close to this man and his parents. R.L. Coleman was KIA in May of 1970 in Laos on his 3rd tour if I'm not mistaken. He was going to make the SF a career but his life was was cut short at the age of 29. He was an Recon Man with RT New Jersey. The man I got the hat from told me SSG. Coleman stopped in to visit him and his parents here in North Carolina before going back to Vietnam after coming back to the states to attend his Mom's funeral. That must have been a very bad year for his family back in Oklahoma. Regards, Skip

Skip Pickett Posted December 31, 2012 Author Share #5 Posted December 31, 2012 Sorry the last two pics are so small. When I go to re-size them to fit here, that's how they ended up. I'm kinda new to posting pics here, sorry. Skip
