I think that Boat Pool Baker was located around the Bishigawa River northwest of Kadena Airfield, but if anyone has a better location let me know. jonathan mentzer Posted March 11 Share #2 Posted March 11 my dad was in baker boat pool he arrived in Okinawa on the uss finch. he was a coxain on a landing craft. cant remember what type. he told me it could hold a tank. his name was Donald Mentzer from Altoona pa.
