I believe there are 9 episodes slated and two have already aired. It comes on Wednesday nights at 9 Eastern/8 Central. I missed the debut episode, but did catch it last week. It was a good show and I recommend it for anyone that wants to see what big things are accomplished by our smallest service branch. Alaska is one of the harshest and most challenging operational environments, in multiple ways, that you can throw at someone. That fact makes it a perfect locale for a TV show to highlight what the Coast Guard does. Given the subject matter and the fact that it's The Weather Channel and not MTV, it's not your typical "reality" show. These are real Coasties doing what they do.
