Just picked up this WWI era model 5 US experimental helmet. It is in very nice condition and probably never worn/issued. Just shows very light wear from storage. Notice the leather makers mark that is stamped on the inner liner band. I will let the photos tell the rest.

Is that a mini-model??

I have one that is much larger then the one that is pictured.

Maybe I'm going blind faster then I think!!

 

If you don't mind, I've posted a picture. I will ask for it to be removed if it bothers you.

The other one shown is a 5a, it was mine when that pic was taken. That is a VERY nice exp!

 

Whats your plan, keeping it?

Wow!...both are cool, but that model 5 looks super nice!!....never see the liner looking that perfect!....mike :thumbsup:

Mmmmm, yummy. I had the chance awhile to grab one that wasn't anywhere in the shape of this one, and I wish I would have! But this one is killer! :blink:
