US82Bravo Posted November 4, 2009 #1 Posted November 4, 2009 Found this photo in a junk shop several years ago. No markings of any kind on the photo. Came in a 11" x 14" cardboard folder/frame marked - Pavelle Color - Print Made On Ansco Color Printon - Pavelle Color Incorporated - New York 19, NY. I haven't done any research on it. Of note is the shield shaped insignia on the front bubble which has a seahorse on an irregular red background. Also, the name - "Wi -" I can't make out the rest. There are also markings on the panel near the tail rotor. The pilot has a patch on his right chest area of his flight jacket and additional insignia on the left chest area. His cap/hat appears to have a rank on it. His flight jacket also appears to have a 'fur' collar. Any thoughts? Larry
316th FS 324th FG Posted November 4, 2009 #2 Posted November 4, 2009 That's the 36th Engineers Brigade emblem. Looks like a B-15 jacket

Cobrahistorian Posted November 4, 2009 #5 Posted November 4, 2009 That looks like an H-13D if I'm seeing it correctly. Single fuel tank, one set of controls. Dual controls came in on the E model. VERY cool pic! Jon
USMC_GAU-21 Posted November 4, 2009 #6 Posted November 4, 2009 Its the H-13D alright, single tank and the pilot (HAC) sitting left seat....
Spathologist Posted November 20, 2009 #7 Posted November 20, 2009 Thanks for the call on that: That's what that is...I was wondering.
