a few weeks ago i purchased a fixed bail m1 that rustey as hell, it also had a hole in the top for water to run out. it had beeb used as a flower pot. it's an early one having a heat stamp of 127c. the bales are ok i had to cut the chain off. so i decide to restore it and give it a paint job of pto camo. here are the results. note: this is just for fun and i'm not selling any helmets as originals. well here it is from start to finish. hope everyone likes it. the yellow is not the right shade in my opinion.post-11207-1294839106.jpg

then i took a piece of sheet metal and formed into the hole. then i took some jb weld and fixed the hole as best as i could. then sanded the overflow of jb weld to smooth out the top.post-11207-1294839445.jpg

after that was done, i taped the helmet completely and drew my camo pattern on it, then cut out the parts i did not need. then i painted it and then cut out the pattern.post-11207-1294839910.jpg
