I doubt yours is a contract para Boot The number of eyelets on Army paratrooper boots varied with size: it's possible the same was true of paramarine boots. Sgt. Boghots Posted March 2, 2010 Author Share #31 Posted March 2, 2010 I stumbled upon Laurant Pradier's USMC boots and shoes page online, and he too shows an example of Type - 1 boots without markings, also speculating that they are mfg'd by Herman. They appear nearly identical to the ones I posted, though they have 15 eyelets. - I'm not sure the origin of his information, but he states they were produced with from 12 to 15 sets of eyelets. Here's Laurent's pictured pair: And a link to his USMC footwear page: http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=e...LD_enUS322US322 Best regards to all, Paul
seebee1 Posted May 12, 2010 Share #32 Posted May 12, 2010 Hopefully the pair of boots I am posting will be the correct early USMC Paramarine Jump Boots. I also would like to know what they are worth, I have owned them for some while though do not intend to part with them just yet. Appreciate any comments about these boots. Regards, Clive. punched primer Posted June 1, 2022 Share #39 Posted June 1, 2022 Kick starting this one with my type 1 paramarine boot. Recently acquired through a trade. The khaki heel is spotted in the paramarine picture from 1942, same stitch on the sole. 20220531_102207.heic
