Since the folks on this thread are talking about YMCA Wartime Logs, I'm looking for my Great Uncle's from his time as a POW in Marlag Und Milag Nord. AB William Dearl Trickett, Stoker (1st Class), V38773 was onboard HMCS Athabaskan G07 when it was sunk off the coast of France April 29, 1944. He didn't perish but he did get taken by the Germans. He kept a Log which ended up being sold after his death. The last I tracked down was an old EBay listing where it was sold by Command Post, Victoria, BC back on December 8, 2011 for $1165. I'm trying to find the present owner to negotiate its return to the family. Thanks.

Haven't been here in years but I believe that Mr Kastauffer bought my father's wartime log a while ago..Verl A Maynard.
Have a question not directed toward him, but to anyone who might suggest what I should do with my stepdad's USAR uniform (full bird colonel) and associate military "stuff" in a box I found in the attic.
Step-mom died a few weeks ago and we're in the process of cleaning out the closets and drawers.
I don't want to just throw anything that might be collectable

Not too good at searching for topics here so you can contact me thru e-mail

I have the Wartime Log of George A Doyle, Sgt. He was the tail gunner on Strato Sam shot down on the Schweinfurt raid on Aug 27, 1943.I have letters home documents etc. But I'll start with his log.16120333728178459430977870484661.jpg.c41c771aa9391bf89e8c759f376f1d97.jpg

I have his wings, air medal and case, purple heart case (his step daughter thinks he was either buried with it or threw it away) letters to his parents, pictures, etc, etc.

The last picture appears to be the funeral of a low. The German officers are on the right.

Very nice log! Thank you for posting it! I see he came home early on the Red Cross ship Gripsholm.  The Germans released a number of POWs who were badly injured from their injuries.  I have a group similar to this one with the same Gripsholm card.
