PaulS Posted July 28, 2019 #1 Posted July 28, 2019 I recently purchased this six color bdu shirt which has a lining in the upper back of shirt. Was this an early pattern? The shirt also has an EGA on upper left pocket.
spec6-spencer Posted July 28, 2019 #3 Posted July 28, 2019 Hi, iirc was that an early version. But the lining was often cut out because of the heat jam at this part of the back. After Desert Storm i saw many coats without the lining in our local surplus stores. Looks good for an '84 dated coat ☺ Lars
Cap Camouflage Pattern I Posted July 30, 2019 #4 Posted July 30, 2019 I have heard it called a sweat shield, not sure if that is right. It was deleted in 1990 along with the elbow reinforcement to speed up production
PaulS Posted August 2, 2019 Author #5 Posted August 2, 2019 Thank you MattS, Spec6-spencer and Cap Camouflage Pattern I for your help with my question.
