Don't think it's military, looks like a souvenir type patch or family crest. Ive seen some similar to this and always mistaken for a 93rd recon varient.

It may also be a city or province shield for somewhere in Europe.

List it in the World Military Forum it is Foreign and not US.

You will also see these sewn on kids souvenir / toy green berets from the 1960's.

Thanks guys, appreciate it, it came with some US patches so I assumed it was US military as well.
