Hello can anyone tell me what the actually color the 50s made helmet shells were painted in is called? Its the green/gray color. Many thanks in advance.

If your talking about the Korean War helmet shells that started to be made again, then it was an Lighter OD with a sand like texure, for repaints, a variety of shades where used, a lot of darker shades, basically what ever was at hand.

Thank you patches, yes Im talking about the new helmets being made in the 50s. Do you happen to know what that light shade of OD is called?

Thought it was NATO green for the 50's helmets, then lime green for Vietnam

Model shops should have them, you'll probably need a few bottles for a helmet
