Moonlight Gecko Posted February 21, 2018 Share #1 Posted February 21, 2018 I picked this up recently. My guess is that it is from the end of the Vietnam War or when the 101st left there in the early 1970's? The chinstraps are white cloth and all the metal parts including chinstrap buckles have been chromed.

mwesson030 Posted February 21, 2018 Share #3 Posted February 21, 2018 Very cool looking! That's probably the only type of helmet I would even consider polishing!
patches Posted February 21, 2018 Share #4 Posted February 21, 2018 Very handsome. Pretty nifty how the hardware of the helmet chin straps were managed to be chromed.
Brian Keith Posted February 24, 2018 Share #5 Posted February 24, 2018 That is really cool. Likely for the Color Guard. Might see if you can find any 101st Year books from Ft. Campbell in the 70's to see if any photo's show up. Thanks for posting it. BKW
