Robswashashore Posted June 22, 2017 Share #1 Posted June 22, 2017 To honor the brave crew of CG1432 who were lost in 1979 while attempting a medical rescue off Cape Cod: The US Navy stationed 110-foot Submarine Chasers at Provincetown at the tip of the Cape during the First World War. In addition to chasing any marauding U Boats which sometimes prowled the East Coast, they were frequently called upon to aid the flying boats out of nearby Chatham Naval Air Station.
