Gerradtgrant Posted December 24, 2016 #1 Posted December 24, 2016 Own several Navy hat badges and haven't come across one of this style. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Date range? The eagle on the left being headless? It is sterling and blackington maker marked. Sent from my XT1565 using Tapatalk

Steve B. Posted December 24, 2016 #3 Posted December 24, 2016 I believe these are U.S. Public Health Service, not navy.
Dave Posted December 24, 2016 #6 Posted December 24, 2016 Here's the Surgeon General in uniform. You can see the similar device on his hat.
TheMariner Posted December 24, 2016 #7 Posted December 24, 2016 it is a WW2 Public Health Service Badge in Sterling appears to be made by Blackington! They are one of the more common WW2 maker of this particular badge. While unique and much harder to find then your regular navy cap example they are usually had in the $20-$30 Dollars range occasionally they will it $35! I would say due to the pin bend $20ish would be about what this example is worth! I love the design and own a few of them myself!
