11th Lafayette Division Camp Meade Photograph WWI Era

Found this at a sale here in Northern Virgina, Its a huge 11X14 aerial photograph of the division. Has anyone ever seen anything like this before?

I found this photo online... looks like a photo taken in the distance of them forming up for this very photo

It was a popular thing. They exist in statue of liberty, eagle globe and anchor and many other formations. Will dig some up later tonite.

I think that picture was used in the WW1 era Nat Geo's patch edition.The 27th INF BDE has done this within the last 5 yrs or so.

When I was a kid, my dad would buy coins at a WWI Vet's everything shop. He always had a selection of framed photos of those WWI pictures. I wished I had bought a few of them.
