CliffP Posted January 31, 2011 Share #4 Posted January 31, 2011  Looks fine to me. CORRECTION: Looks fine to me. While not officially authorized by the War Department to sport an "E" in the center shield, it is never-the-less a Flight Engineer badge... made when 20th Bomber Command operated B-29 bases in both India and China. So where was your badge made? India. Cliff

mshaw Posted January 31, 2011 Author Share #6 Posted January 31, 2011 Thanks Cliff and Paul! I had thought the "E" wing was made in India if it was real but I wasn't sure about the "R". Anyway, thank you both for weighing in with your expertise!
pfrost Posted January 31, 2011 Share #7 Posted January 31, 2011 Thanks Cliff and Paul! I had thought the "E" wing was made in India if it was real but I wasn't sure about the "R". Anyway, thank you both for weighing in with your expertise! I would agree, it looks like an Indian-made wing (or at least from that area). Great wing! rustywings Posted January 31, 2011 Share #8 Posted January 31, 2011 Nice unauthorized Flight Engineer wings MSHAW! Here's a couple more for comparison. The top wing was made by Beverlycraft...the bottom wing is likely CBI made.
