cpatrick Posted June 8, 2007 Share #1 Posted June 8, 2007 As promised from a previous post, I thought that I would post this for everyone to see, and to comment on. This was made from a WWII M-4 bayonet. It has the initials "NC" carved near the pommel. I had actually rescued this from a "knife collector" who was going to polish this up on the wheel, clean the brass, and sharpen it. It was a good feeling to have saved this from - "death". I just wiped it down with some oil, and put it in the knife drawer. Chris

Jeeper704 Posted June 9, 2007 Share #5 Posted June 9, 2007 Nicely made. I am looking for such type for my 4th Armored crewmember. I have seen a photo somehere where you see such a type of knife sticking out of his leggings (he was not 4th AD though). Erwin

gunbarrel Posted June 10, 2007 Share #7 Posted June 10, 2007 I'd like to see it, too. You don't see many photos with Theater knives. Here is one...enjoy it!
cpatrick Posted June 10, 2007 Author Share #8 Posted June 10, 2007 Hmmm - I sense the start of a good topic! I'd like to see how many pictures people can come up with. I wish that I had one to contribute! Your example is a very nice illustration of a theater made knife. Thanks gunbarrel! Chris
gunbarrel Posted June 10, 2007 Share #9 Posted June 10, 2007 Chris, Glad you liked it. You might find this one interesting else. It's a GI's advertisement for his theater knives!
