Teamski Posted December 27, 2024 #1 Posted December 27, 2024 Hey guys! I haven't been as present on the board as I used to be. A lot of that has been due to getting a job at a military museum which necessarily restricts what I can collect. So, collecting in general for me has slowed quite a bit. However, that allowed me to dedicate more time to other hobbies like gaming. Recently, I have been really hitting the paints to "collect" a good library of 1/300 scale aircraft for miniature wargaming. These are primarily for Check Your 6! but can be used for any set of miniatures rules. This really scratches both the collecting and modeling parts of my brain. These aren't all that I have done yet. I have been doing 8 of each fighter and 9 of each bomber. It is really fun to "get it right!" -Ski
Proud Kraut Posted December 29, 2024 #3 Posted December 29, 2024 Awesome paintwork, thanks for sharing!
Scott C. Posted January 1 #4 Posted January 1 Very cool. You must have very steady hands for such detail work at that scale.
Teamski Posted January 2 Author #5 Posted January 2 Thanks! I'm fortunate at my age, that is for sure..... -Ski
4th Miss Cav Posted January 7 #7 Posted January 7 Very nice. Is that Army painter brand that you are using. I rally like their paints.

Flight simulators and air battles are a separate pleasure. I like to play PC games, especially those with air battles, for example, IL-2 Sturmovik, War Thunder. But besides this, there are other games that I constantly play. Dota, cs, I study new gaming platforms on https://kaszinoworld.com/weiss-bet/ where I recently read about advantages and disadvantages. If I only played airplanes, I would probably go crazy. But they are still a priority for me, since I wanted to fly a plane since childhood. You are a really creative person! Painting miniatures on such a scale is cool. It turns out really cool.
Teamski Posted March 15 Author #9 Posted March 15 Thanks everybody! The work continues. And, yes, I use Citadel and Army Painter paints as they are water based which allows me to use Dulcote to seal them.
Scott C. Posted March 20 #10 Posted March 20 Love the white & blue canopy "glass" effect. If you found the right size punches and some thin acrylic sheet, you could add simulated spinning prop disks.
Brian Dentino Posted March 21 #11 Posted March 21 Very cool idea, Ski! Man, I would have to wear jewelers glasses to even see all the small details on these little guys. Love the variations and accuracy of the colors you have on the various planes from different combatant country's. You are going to be the coolest war gamer in the group!
