4th Miss Cav Posted May 21 #1 Posted May 21 These were dug between 2000 and 2016 on private property in Port Hudson LA. The 20# parrot shell in the center actually went into the ground and blew apart. I was able to find about 90% of the shell. In the center front are two that hit and stuck together. One is a .54 and the other is a .58. There were cannon ball frags everywhere. I literally would make piles and pull my kids wagon to bring them out. Found some pretty rare British Sea Service bullets. Lots of .69 French Triangle Bases also.
ScottG Posted May 22 #2 Posted May 22 That is a beautiful display David, tons of hard work and effort but along with that comes great stories about each item and where they were found. Scott
Kurt Barickman Posted July 23 #3 Posted July 23 Very interesting; visited that battlefield two weeks ago. Kurt
4th Miss Cav Posted July 24 Author #4 Posted July 24 Kurt, I hope you enjoyed your trip. It really is a well preserved park. Unfortunately it can be very hot and humid here as I’m sure you quickly found out. David

The next day was Vicksburg. Kurt
