Mortar Transportion?

Hi all! I was recently researching the transportation methods of Mortars during WWII, more specifically the M1 mortar. I stumbled upon this photo of a jeep carrying what looks like a m2 mortar along with rounds. I haven't been able to find any other similar pictures. I know the M1 Mortars were often carried along with being transported by handcarts and halftracks, but I am curious how often jeeps were used for the M1 mortar? Is it comparable to how often Humvees are used in the modern battlefield to transport gun teams/sections?
