Hi All,

I was wondering what the small loop is for on a M1A1 carbine paratrooper jump case,

located on reverse side, upper right corner.

Anyone know what it was for and how it was used?

Thanks,

Douglas

Thank you pwcosol for the link.

I had searched the forum and did not find this link.

So,

on February 28, 2009, member Willaert posted,

"You can run the right back suspender straps through the extra webbing loop

for extra weight distribution".

Sounds reasonable to me.

Anyone have a photo or drawing in a TM or FM of this being done??

Here's a pic

I am guessing the back suspender refers to the parachute suspension/harness?
