Hello,

I’ve always heard that white canvas are for medic bed during ww2…but what about a 1916’s dated folding cot ?

in which year these cots begin to appear ?

Bonjour.

I would say that there are two models of WWI "cot". The "civil" mod. and the regulatory mod.
The second is made of the same canvas as the M1910 bags
The 1st Mod. consists of a white canvas with label.

Ce type de lit existait bien avant la WWI. Il figure sur le QMC manual de 1916.

Sol.

Mod. "civil"
